FS22 Production Chains - Deeper Look
The introduction of production chains is certainly one of the most interesting features in FS22. In the earlier versions of the game, you could only sell your products once you harvested them. However, in the new version, you get an opportunity to maximize the potential of your products, with the help of production chains. You might have already heard of this. In the recent announcement, Giants Software has given you a deeper look into these production chains, as described in the following sections.
Make more from your grains
Earlier, you could only sell your grains and make money from them. However, with the production chains, you can load the grains you have harvested into trailers, and unload them at the grain mills that you can find in the game. Here, players have the flexibility to choose from the mills that have been set up as per the new US map introduced in FS22 or create their own mills with the land they own.
As you near the mills, you cannot help but notice the change in the audio settings. In the new version, different sound designs have been introduced for the idle and working nature of the mills. You can pass on the grains to the mill to make flour out of them. Once you have the flour ready, you can send it to the bakery and make items such as cake out of it.
One thing that players need to understand while working with the new production chains is that one input can be used for different kinds of output, and different inputs may be needed for one output. If you are a player, you need to organize your products and harvest well, so that you can work with multiple production chains simultaneously without facing any hassles. Don’t fret over anything; Farming Simulator 22 has got you covered in this aspect. A section called “recipes” in the production chains gives you the details of your products, what you can possibly make from them, which product you would need more, etc.
Baking a cake on FS22
To understand the production chains properly, the makers have given a small example of baking a cake in the game. You will need flour, eggs, milk, butter, sugar and strawberries to make a cake in the new version. When you know the ingredients you need, you can plan your products properly. While you need to produce milk at the dairy farm, you need to get the flour ready by processing the grains in the mill. Though creating products is a lengthy process in Farming Simulator 22, it is absolutely worth every second you spend on it. As you keep playing and get a feel of things, you will master the technique of starting multiple production chains, creating many mills to ramp up production and making more money from your products.
What to do with the finished product?
Once you have the cake ready, you can decide if you want to sell it automatically or move it to your palette to be sold later. If you choose to sell it, you are also given the freedom of choosing the buyer. You can sell to the person who gives you a good deal. Once you find ways to manage production, processing, storage and sales effectively, you can become quite rich on FS22.
