New Ground Working Tools And Textures in FS22!
You might already be aware that the latest version of Farming Simulator 22, which is due to be launched on November 22, contains some visually appealing graphics that make the entire farm look natural and authentic. In the latest version, the makers have used the Parallax Occlusion Mapping technique to bring about some intricate soil and ground textures. Some of the new features you can expect in FS22 with respect to ground working tools and textures are:
- Mulching
- Stone Picking
- Soil Rolling
- New Ground Textures
Mulching
If you already have a beautiful garden in your backyard, you might know that mulching helps to protect the soil and improve the yield. Well, the rules are no different in Farming Simulator 22. You can find the new feature of mulcher in FS22 for exactly this purpose.
You can attach a mulcher to a tractor to mulch the soil surface in the grape and olive orchards. You can also use it after harvesting the crops when you can use the mulch the remaining stubble off the field to improve your field’s future yield.
Apart from protecting the soil and improving the yield on your grape & olive orchards, mulching also helps in improving the visual appeal of these orchards.
You can visit the “Forestry” section of the game to view some big-sized mulchers, which can come in handy while mulching bushes and tree stumps. Your fields will surely become beautiful and fertile if you use the right tool for the right mulching purpose.
Stone Picking
Stones can cause some trouble when you are working on the fields. They keep lying dormant on the ground, hampering an important process like plowing or cultivating, just when you least expect it. The type of cultivator you use plays a vital role in the number of stones turning up on your field. Sometimes, when you use a subsoiler on the farm, it will cause you to dig up bigger stones, leading to a messy field.
The makers have developed the new feature of stone picking in Farming Simulator 22 to help you deal with this problem. You can use the stone picker to collect these stones from the field. Sell them to the debris crusher unit to make some money as well. It is quite a thrill to see the stones that were creating a mess in your field, getting crushed, isn’t it? Ensure that you get rid of all the stones before you start sowing the crops. As in the case of all other new features, you can turn off this, if you don’t wish to collect stones.
However, not collecting stones will only create more disturbances for you in the long run. Bigger stones will start developing, causing reasonable damage to the soil and your vehicles. If you don’t want to use this feature to pick stones (the small ones, especially), you can try this new feature listed below.
Soil Rolling
While large stones can be collected using the stone picker, you can use a soil roller to deal with the small stones that prop up after cultivating and plowing. As the name suggests, you have to keep rolling this machine on your field repeatedly to make the field look even.
Soil rollers help to hide the uneven surfaces on the soil, which appear after cultivating and sowing. After you are done sowing the crops, please remember to roll the soil roller on the ground to flatten and compress the seedbed. This guarantees you an increased yield. You can appreciate this fact very much if you own a large field, as you can get decent profits by using the soil roller.
When you use the soil roller on a grassland, you can earn some bonuses. You can get to the fertilizing stage when you use the soil roller on your grass meadows. Using the soil roller on grass makes the grass go back to its first growth stage. So, you should use this new feature of FS22 only on grass that is newly cut and mowed.
New Ground Textures
The visual improvement and advanced use of graphics on Farming Simulator 22 can be easily seen from these ground textures. When playing with friends via Crossplay mode, remember to check the texture of their fields. If they haven’t used soil rollers on seedbeds, their texture will be far lower than yours. When you invite a player with a lower texture than yours, it can impact your field’s yield.
