If you host from a PC, you can play together with 16 players at once, including players who use consoles. If the console owner is the server host, then playing with up to 6 people together will be possible. If you play on a server hosted by other service providers, playing with up to 16 players is possible, regardless of the systems players have. 

Many gamers wonder whether console players can rent and host servers. The answer to this is yes. Any console player can rent and host a server through Nitrado or other servers the same way as PC players. 

Is it possible to deactivate the crossplay option in Farming Simulator 22?

 

If you believe that other players are getting an unfair advantage in farming adventures because they use a keyboard and a mouse, you should not worry. You can use filters to avoid servers with crossplay, preventing players from other platforms from coming and joining your gaming server.

Regarding whether cross-saving is possible, only the host can save the game progress, and the farming progress won’t be saved for other players that joined the game.

For mods and DLC to affect the crossplay, every player must have the same mods and DLCs installed as the server host. Otherwise, those that do not have the missing content will not be able to join the server. 

Some also wonder whether the consoles will affect the cross-platform multiplayer. The hosting platform is the one that sets the limit of the maximum number of machines and other things on the server. If a player with fewer things available joins the game on his platform, he will set a new limit for every player based on his platform. If the server already has more places occupied than your platform supports it, joining this server would not be possible. 

Regarding voice chat and text chat, Farming Simulator 22 will support both of these. However, inputting a text chat will only be possible on PCs, while console players can only read the text.
